Asia-Pacific Centre of Education for International Understanding (APCEIU) is a UNESCO Category 2 Centre mandated to promote Education for International Understanding (EIU) and Global Citizenship Education (GCED) towards a Culture of Peace.

Established in 2000 by the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Korea and UNESCO, APCEIU seeks to strengthen capacities to implement EIU and GCED in UNESCO Member States through various programmes ranging from training workshops and teacher exchange programmes to development of educational resources and policy research.

EIU empowers learners to be global citizens with knowledge,skills and attitudes for living together to support cultural diversity, peace, human rights and sustainable development in the 21st century.
